Congratulations to the Fox Marching Warriors for their stellar performance Saturday which earned them the 1st place trophy in their division (AAAA) curshing second place by almost 6 points, and for finishing 2nd overall in finals competition with less than .8 points from 1st place. March on, Warriors!!

Windsor Wraps Up 3rd at Washington
Sunday, October 05, 2008 by Jim Sparks
Props and shouts to the WGB for their perfomance of "Dusk to Dawn" this Saturday, which earned the Brigade a Third Place trophy at the Washington Marching Band Festival. With only 1.33 points separating 2nd and 3rd place, and only 3 points between the top 3 bands, it was a very exciting and tight competition.
With the marching season winding down you only have two more chances to see the Windsor Golden Brigade in 2008! Join us this Saturday in Potosi for a full day of preliminary and finals competition at one of the largest and most exciting marching band invitationals in Missouri. Come volunteer in the support area and enjoy a day of music, marching, fun and food (BBQ by the WBPA!) this Saturday!
Your last, and possibly best, chance of seeing the WGB perform will be on Saturday, October 25th at the Edward Jones Dome in downtown St. Louis! The Greater St. Louis Marching Band Festival is the culmination of a season of hard word and dedication by the WGB which began in June and ends at the Dome in October. This is a premium event and TICKETS ARE REQUIRED! The WGB is in a heated race for 1st place in ticket sales this year and your support is needed! Tickets are available for as little as $10. Friends, family, neighbors and coworkers will be awed, amazed by the WGB's performance of "Dusk to Dawn" at the Dome! Greater St. Louis Marching Band Festival tickets also make a great gift, so even if you are unable to attend, pick up a couple of tickets and give a friend or loved one the gift of Windsor Music!

The Pursuit ends at the Edwards Jones Dome
Saturday, October 27, 2007 by Jim Sparks
The Windsor Golden Brigade travelled to the Edward Jones Dome in downtown St. Louis for their final competition performance of "In Pursuit" on Saturday. The WGB wrapped up the marching season by bringing home the Blue Division 4th place trophy at the Greater St. Louis Marching Band Festival, with an outstanding performance competing against some of the best marching bands in the Bi-State area.
Many congratulations and thanks to all of the musicians and peformers in the WGB for their hard work, perserverance, good attitude and sportsmanship throughout the 2007 marching season. It has been a pleasure, and exciting, to spend the season with you and watch you make Windsor proud time and time again with every effort. See you at the lock-in and the Thanksgiving Day Parade!!
Special thanks to all of the band parents and their friends and family that came out to make the season happen. We couldn't get the job done without you and we appreciate your support, hard work and of course...patience.

Greater St. Louis Marching Band Festival
Saturday, October 27, 2007 by Jim Sparks
The last stop on the Windsor Golden Brigade's 2007 "In Pursuit" tour was the Edward Jones Dome in downtown St. Louis on Saturday. By getting everything packed and ready to go Friday night, we were able to avoid Apple Butter Festival traffic Saturday morning and arrived at The Dome as scheduled and began preparations in the cold morning air. The preparation was especially difficult on the kids because of everything it takes to make a performance happen at The Dome, but they remained focused and gave a great performance in a professional venue in front of the largest group of spectators they have seen this season. After spending a few fun-filled hours at Union Station after the performance, the WGB returned to The Dome to see the Gold Division and special guests perform before the awards ceremony. The drum majors from all competing bands were escorted onto the field by the 135th U.S. Army Band. Our drum majors were impressive as always, professional and attentive, accepting the Blue Division 4th Place Trophy with Windsor pride and sportsmanship.

Saturday, September 29, 2007 by Jim Sparks
WAY TO GO WGB!! The Windsor Golden Brigade and their support team travelled to Sullivan, Missouri on Saturday for their third competition of the season. The concrete stands were hard to play against, the wind was crazy and the release of Halo 3 made almost everyone a little more tired than usual, but in true Windsor fashion the WGB brought home the 2nd place trophy. CONGRATULATIONS!!

WGB DOES IT AGAIN! FIRST PLACE!!
Saturday, September 22, 2007 by Jim Sparks
After a long morning of sharpening their skills on the field, enduring Summer heat and a mechanical failure in Pit Transportation, the Windsor Golden Brigade brought home the White Division 1st Place Trophy for their incredible performance of "In Pursuit" at the Farmington Marching Invitational on Saturday. As tradition dictates, the Marching Band dominated the Farmington Ryan's Steakhouse for about an hour for a good meal, which doubled as a victory celebration! Congratulations to the Golden Brigade and thanks for all your hard work and patience in the heat to bring home a first-class win.

Farmington Marching Invitational...Another Success!
Saturday, September 22, 2007 by Jim Sparks
The second stop on the Windsor Golden Brigade's 2007 Competition Schedule was the Farmington Marching Invitational today in Farmington, Missouri. Once again, the WGB looked and sounded sharp and professional, but this time in searing Summer heat that caused problems for many kids and parents alike. In addition to the parent vehicles that helped carry support items to the event, we travelled with 2 school buses of musicians, an equipment bus, and 3 support vehicles pulling trailers. Many thanks to the Band Dads that spent their time in the heat laying on the rocky parking lot working on the ATV to get it ready for the performance. Thanks to everyone who lent a hand to make the trip a success, and thanks and appreciation to the parents and their guests who made the trip to see the perfomance and give their support from the stands.

A Successful First Competition
Saturday, September 15, 2007 by Jim Sparks
The Windsor Golden Brigade travelled to Belleville, IL Saturday for their first competition of the 2007 season. The kids did an outstanding job, looked great in their new uniforms, represented Windsor in excellent fashion and brought home two awards. Many thanks to everyone who donated their time and efforts to make it possible for the Golden Brigade to participate in the event. From packing trailers and hauling gear, to adjusting uniforms and pushing monster cubes across the track and field, the Golden Brigade Support Staff deserves thanks and appreciation for their efforts.
